How to cancel the menu
If you want to get out of the menu, whatever you are doing then there are several ways in Word to stop from what you are doing. These tips are applicable on Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002 and Word 2003.
If you are going to select an option from the Word Menu, then you have three ways to cancel the menu.
1:
You can cancel the menu by pressing Esc twice. To press it twice is necessary to come back in the document.
2:
By clicking the menu twice is also one of the ways to back out of the menu.
3:
By clicking the area outside of the menu is also the way to get back of the menu.
